We are a membership for parents of young children. You send in the good stuff your child has outgrown, earn credits, and swap for what fits next. Round trip shipping is included.
This is the membership I went looking for when my son was small. I couldn't find it, so I built it right here in Fremont, California.
Every few months there was another pile to donate. Clothes he had barely worn, toys that got one good week and then sat in a bin.
Listing and selling isn't my thing, and I don't have friends with babies the same size.
I didn't want to stop buying nice things for my son, but was tired of the wasted value. That's when I realized there needed to be a better solution.
No listings, no photos, no negotiating. You fill a prepaid bag, send it back, and swap what you earn for what your child can use next.
Plenty of services handle outgrown clothes. Far fewer handle toys, and kids outgrow toys just as fast, so I take both.
There are four memberships, clothing or toys or both, so you can pick the one that fits your family instead of a generic version of every family.
See the four plans →We're proud to be picky. Every bag that comes in gets graded by hand against a written standard I hold every item to. It covers condition, completeness, and what I will and won't accept. If something isn't good for swapping, it doesn't go out to anyone.
The Closet Standard is published in full, so you can read it before you send anything, and know what to expect when you shop.
Questions? Get in touch →I built this for parents who are tired of the cycle. If that's you, hi and welcome!
Run a preschool, a parent group or a local shop, or writing about secondhand kids' gear? I'd like to hear from you.
